Örebro Convention Bureau is a member of MPI (Meeting Professionals International) – the world’s largest network for the meetings industry with around 23,000 members in total in 68 countries.

We are also a member of ICCA (International Congress and Convention Association), which has more than 850 members in the congress industry, spread across 80 countries around the world.

“The best-ever closing conference for an EU project”

In 2010, Regionförbundet in Örebro held a transport conference attended by 150 delegates.

“Our EU partners were a bit sceptical at first about holding a conference in Örebro”, says Katarina Bååth, Information Officer and Project Manager at Energikontoret. “But after the conference, everyone was really pleased with how it had gone. The highly-experienced Belgian EU project manager project manager, felt that it was the best closing conference for an EU project she’d ever attended. Many of the delegates said how impressed they were with Örebro, and in particular Örebro Castle where we hosted a very successful dinner.”
