In 2010, Microsoft held its TechDays conference in Örebro, and the event exceeded all expectations. That’s why they chose Örebro again. This is the first time that Microsoft has decided to hold a conference in the same place two years running outside Stockholm. “We were very pleased with the positive response we had at all levels”, says Liselotte Isacsson, Marketing Manager for technical target

groups at Microsoft. “The cooperation we received from senior officials in the municipality, Örebro University, IT businesses, Örebro Convention Bureau and Conventum made things much easier for us, and allowed us to concentrate on creating a wonderful meeting place for information and relationship-building activities.”

Örebro has a wide range of venues to suit all sizes of meetings. The state-of-the-art Conventum conference centre is located right in the middle of town, and is one of Sweden’s premier meeting places with respect to technology, capacity and logistics. The Conventum Arena, is just beside the conference centre. Other excellent meeting places include Örebro Castle, Svampen and Naturens Hus. Örebro also offers plenty of accommodation, with 2,500 hotel beds in total, 1,000 of which are situated within 500 metres of Conventum. Visitors to the town can also enjoy a wide range of activities and exciting attractions.
